The Lord Jesus graciously received her Friday, November 25, 2016. Sylvia was born May 1, 1938 in Geneva, IL to Edward (Lew) and Virginia Drury. She moved to Phoenix, AZ when she was nine. Sylvia stayed home with her girls until they were both in school. She enjoyed sewing (matching outfits) for her girls and loved rescuing animals. She always had several different animals such as chickens, ducks, birds, dogs, tortoises, cats and bunnies. Sylvia loved tending to her yard, painting the house, decorating, wall papering and rearranging furniture (nothing ever stayed the same). When the kids went to school, she went back work at John C. Lincoln Hospital. She held many business office jobs, but her favorite position was her last before she retired, Insurance verifier. She loved working for Lincoln and enjoyed the people she worked with. Another passion of hers was to travel. She made several trips up the West Coast, Arizona and Victoria, BC. She took several family members and friends on this trip with her. After retiring, she traveled to England to see her step daughter and grandkids. She was proud to know them and have them in her family. She was able to see many parts of Europe and enjoyed the different methods of travel there. She is loved and missed by; Her husband of 56 years Don Stoker, daughters Donna Daley and Laura (Craig) Peters, Sister Virginia Cahill, Grandchildren Christopher Daley, Kyle, Andrew and Javan Peters, 3 Nieces, 1 Nephew and many other extended family.

Visitation will be held at 11- 1pm with a Graveside service starting at 1pm December 8, 2016 at Greenacres Mortuary and Cemetery 401 North Haden RD, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A reception will follow at the residents of Don Stoker.
