Alice Taich, 89, formerly from Longboat Key, FL and Northbrook, IL, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2017. She was born on July 30, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Jacob Brodsky and Cecelia (Kantor) Klink. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty four years, Fred. She is survived by her loving sister, Sylvia Kleker; her children, Sharon Woods (Rob Elliot), Arthur (Nancy) Taich, Sue (Ken) Goldsand, and Tim (Chris) Taich; her eleven grandchildren, and her sixteen great-grandchildren. Alice Taich, 89, formerly from Longboat Key, FL and Northbrook, IL, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2017. She was born on July 30, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Jacob Brodsky and Cecelia (Kantor) Klink. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty four years, Fred. She is survived by her loving sister, Sylvia Kleker; her children, Sharon Woods (Rob Elliot), Arthur (Nancy) Taich, Sue (Ken) Goldsand, and Tim (Chris) Taich; her eleven grandchildren, and her sixteen great-grandchildren. Alice is remembered for her lifelong dedication to volunteer work, as Honorary Lifetime Board Member of Jewish Family and Children's Services of Sarasota, FL, officer at Temple Beth Israel in Longboat Key, FL, member of the national board of Women of Reform Judaism, officer of Congregation Beth Or in Deerfield, IL, President of ORT in Northbrook, IL, Brownie Troop leader, PTA officer and much more. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply and was known as "the best cooker." Alice will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the JFCS of Sarasota.
